The Case of the Loose Lever by Kirk Stafford
On Saturday April 24, Mustangs Plus held their Mach 1 car show in Stockton. We arrived about 8 am and lined up to be parked. When we got close to being parked, I got out of my mustang and went to tell Joe Warnock to make sure he told the parking staff that we had 5 cars to be parked together. My mustang started to slowly roll back toward Robin Paulsell’s mustang. He got out of his car and I walked back to stop my car from rolling. I obviously had not pulled the transmission tunnel mounted parking brake lever hard enough to completely engage it. I was nominated for the HA award and received an overwhelming number of votes to get the pleasure of keeping the HA award for the month of May.
The moral of this experience: Always pull your lever hard to avoid unwanted movement!
