For a very long time I
had been undecided about buying a new car. I must have test-driven
25 different vehicles in 2006. On March 1, 2007 I decided to try a
new Ford Fusion. Well, it was “ok” – but the car
that REALLY caught my eye was a black Mustang with silver racing stripes,
sitting quietly under a tent at the front of the dealership. I HAD
to drive that car! I was HOOKED after just 30 seconds into the test
drive! And it was unique, in that it was a “California Edition
- #176 of 400”. If I had any doubts about qualifying for the
financing, they were all laid to rest when a 3.8 earthquake rumbled
through the dealership as I was waiting for the final word. I took
that as my sign – “time to shake things up, Sue!” The
financing fell into place, and I drove off grinning from ear to ear.
A few days later my 6-year-old grandson saw my new car and exclaimed, “Dang!
You have a REAL Hot Wheels car!” And that’s how “Hot
Wheels” got her name… |
